Amid the rapid development of digital technology, Blitar Regency, known for its rich cultural heritage and history, is now welcoming an exciting new initiative. The Writing Incubator based on Local Cultural Content titled "About Blitar" serves as a platform for the residents of Blitar Regency to create, share stories, and celebrate the local cultural wealth through writing.
A New Step for Blitar
Blitar Regency, which once witnessed the history of Indonesia’s independence movement, is now inviting its people to view culture not just as part of the past but as an asset worthy of being introduced to the world.
Through this incubator program, the Department of Libraries and Archives of Blitar Regency opens a space for the younger generation to express themselves and introduce Blitar's cultural wealth in a more contemporary way, through digital content.
Blitar Residents, Tell Your Story!
This program is open to residents of Blitar Regency aged 17 and above. Regardless of background, anyone with an interest in writing or content creation can join. You don’t need to be a professional writer to participate; what’s important is a love for Blitar and the desire to share your story.
The program also offers the opportunity to learn directly from experienced mentors in the fields of writing and journalism, such as Yanu Aribowo, Dewi Sulistya K. SS, and Fahrizal Aziz, who will guide participants in exploring their potential.
Step by Step Towards the Best Work
For participants, this program is not just a writing competition. Through various stages, they will be guided to produce works that are not only substantial but also able to introduce Blitar from different perspectives.
Of the 20 best works selected, the top three will receive prizes in the form of financial support, certificates, and trophies. In addition, these works will be published and shared with the wider community. Imagine, your work will become part of a new history for Blitar that not only inspires but also introduces local culture to the world.

Successful Event Held
The event was successfully held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Back Building of the Department of Libraries and Archives of Blitar Regency. The enthusiasm of Blitar’s residents was overwhelming, with the participant quota of 60 spots filled quickly.
In fact, many participants had to be turned away due to limited spots. This shows just how high the interest in this program is and the eagerness of the Blitar community to explore their potential through writing based on local culture.
More Than Just Writing
What is particularly interesting about this Writing Incubator program is the spirit of social inclusion it carries. This program not only provides space for participants to grow personally but also creates a platform that connects various layers of society in Blitar Regency.
